With a construction background and a general interest in anything that’s mechanical, Eric has been managing custom fabrication shops for the past 20 years. He leverages his expertise in solving unusual problems to provide creative solutions for his clients.
Outside of the studio he can usually be found in Patrick’s kitchen.
Patrick is our Production Manager with a background in theatre, television and film. He took a brief 7 year hiatus to become a chef, and has returned to his roots to start Bridgewater Studio.
Outside of the studio he can usually still be found in the kitchen.
Kristie brings her 20+ years of experience in exhibit management to Bridgewater’s account management team. Her background covers branded activations, holiday experiences, event logistics, and client management. She loves a challenge and enjoys the fast pace of this industry.
Outside of Bridgewater she can usually be found driving someone to hockey practice.
Project Engineer/Project Manager
Scott graduated from Purdue University in Technical Theatre and received his Master’s in Theatre from UNC Chapel Hill. He started out as a carpenter/welder in the LORT Theatre circuit and slowly transitioned to commercial shops as a Mechanical and Technical Designer; working on theme parks and arena scale concerts. At Bridgewater, Scott wears many hats, which includes managing our 3d printers, engineering complex assemblies in Solidworks and Managing Projects.
After hours you can find Scott chasing his dog around a park or finding his next favorite place to eat with his partner.
Paint Shop Manager
Alex has been a professional scenic artist and fabricator since 2010. He had served as a Lead Sculptor for the Santa Fe Opera for numerous projects during the spring and summer and as a freelance finisher for a variety of Chicago fabrication studios and theaters during fall and winter.
Alex is also a freelance photographer, capturing unknown landscapes across the Southwest as an avid traveler and back-country explorer. In his free time, Alex has multiple bodies of work in progress, in varied disciplines and mediums such as; sculpture, abstract watercolor works and surrealist portraiture.
Marvin is jack of all trades. We can count on him for any project whether it is carpentry, fabrication, welding, or installations.
When he is not work, he works on his own art and explores the country on his motorcycle.
Genaro Esparza is our go-to man when it comes to getting things in and out of Bridgewater. He is responsible for every project we deliver, making sure that it gets to where it needs to be intact and on time.
Jeff has been a CAD designer for nearly 20 years and has been working with exhibits for the last 10. From furniture to car parts to homes, he has created drawings for just about everything. Jeff’s love for the outdoors caused him to make the jump to relocate to the Bridgewater West office just outside of Denver.
When not at work Jeff is either racing cars or riding bikes in the mountains.
Maggie graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BFA in Technical Theater. A construction enthusiast, she has been building things for 8 years, starting out fabricating her high school’s theater shows.
A proud owner of a leopard gecko, she also enjoys playing board games and terrible puns. In times of duress Maggie will fold tiny origami cranes and hide them throughout the shop.
With a visual arts background, sign shop fabrication and management experience and a NIMS Machine Operator Certification Jodie brings a wealth of capabilities to our Studio.Being able to seamlessly move between departments gives Jodie the ability to see a project through from inception through completion.
When she’s not in the Studio she’s working on her own art projects under the #jodiemadethis hashtag.
After a childhood spent taking things apart, Mike has found his way to “give back” to the world through producing new objects. His background in theatrical prop-making and carpentry, coupled with a passion for creative problem-solving has led him here to Bridgewater.
When not making things in the shop, he can generally be found cross-stitching skulls.
In addition to being a Certified MIG and TIG welder, Heather is a valuable asset in our finishing department.
Outside of the Studio she loves to explore the city in support of her never ending quest to find the world’s most perfect Taco.
Software and Interactives Developer
Jared has worked as a scenic carpenter and welder since moving to Chicago in 2011. A reformed actor who graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Technical Theater, he soon found himself working in scene shops and has never looked back. Approaching each project as an opportunity to learn something new or to improve on existing skills, Jared takes great pride in his work and the endless pursuit of perfection.
When he is not working, getting out of the city to hike in the mountains and camp under the stars is Jared’s favorite way to recharge his batteries.
Print Shop Manager/Graphics Specialist
Sam moved to Chicago to join the Bridgewater team after earning his degree in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition to Industrial Design he also carries an educational background in Graphic Design and Fine Jewelry, immersing himself in the fields of design and fabrication. He has years of professional experience working in the sign and printing industry doing everything from design, vinyl application, printing and installing.
Metal Shop Manager/Project Lead
Aaron has been building things since he was a kid. He recently received his welding certification from Moraine Valley College and has been a carpenter for 16 years.
He enjoys spending time with his family, renovating his house, working on cars and cooking. If you ask Aaron what he had for dinner last night, he will tell you.
Facilities/Employee Morale Officer
Zach is an architectural designer and fabricator from Central Illinois. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Southern Illinois University and has professional experience in carpentry, construction management, architecture and digital fabrication.
His interests include deconstructivist architecture, existential literature and good barbecue.
Bryan’s background in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial design is a huge asset to us in his role as Project Designer.
His ability to technically design a concept ensures a seamless and efficient production methodology with a superior end result for our clients.
Outside of work he’s been most recently working on motorcycles.
