JM EAGLE & PLASTPRO

The Ultimate Customer Experience Center

Bridgewater Studio partnered with JM Eagle, the world’s largest PVC pipe manufacturer, and Plastpro, a major producer of fiberglass doors, to design and build a state-of-the-art customer experience center within their shared Los Angeles headquarters. This project presented a unique opportunity to create an immersive space that would engage employees, impress clients, and celebrate the legacies and innovations of two industry-leading brands.

The Challenge

JM Eagle and Plastpro were embarking on extensive renovations to their headquarters and wanted to transform an underutilized floor into a museum-quality storytelling experience. This ambitious project presented three major challenges. First, designing a cohesive space for two distinct brands while also developing unique narratives and product displays for each. Second, achieving seamless alignment with the ongoing facility renovations. Lastly, meeting a tight deadline tied to a high-profile company event. The client was eager to create something extraordinary but needed an experienced partner to guide the process.

Strategy

At Bridgewater, every strategy begins by defining the project’s goals through the client’s hopes, dreams, and desires. In this case, we knew the final result had to be 100% authentic to each brand’s mission, people, and culture. In working backwards to map a design and production process to achieve those goals, it was clear that our first task was to get boots on the ground, meet the people behind the products, and hear their stories firsthand. We conducted site visits to several of their manufacturing and R&D facilities to capture words, visuals, and firsthand knowledge, allowing us to quickly become mini-experts in both industries.

Design

Our design vision blended immersive storytelling and functional elegance with pure authenticity, weaving the brands' core product materials into the physical environment. For JM Eagle, sections of PVC pipes were creatively transformed into wall features and seating nooks. Plastpro’s fiberglass doors were displayed in custom-built interactive units, allowing visitors to explore the products up close. Biophilic elements, including indoor trees, softened the industrial feel, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The design thoughtfully combined showroom displays, collaborative workspaces, and educational installations, effectively narrating both brands' histories, innovations, and philanthropic efforts.

Production

Bridgewater’s integrated approach to experiential projects means we're thinking critically about strategy, design, and production on day one. Long before fabrication began, the space was 3D scanned to provide precise dimensions for every design document and digital model. A collaborative decision making process informed materials selection, fabrication methods, and installation sequencing. Prototypes of interactive displays, such as sliding door units, ensured durability and a premium user experience. It ultimately came together with the timely delivery of a polished space befitting these two highly respected companies.
