LUNCHABLES

Driving Engagement Like Never Before

The client challenged Bridgewater Studio to transform a regular car into an animal-themed prop for a TV commercial as part of the Mixed-Up Lunchables® experiential marketing campaign. We were able to design, CNC engineer, fabricate and install all necessary components in-house on an accelerated timeline for a total project time of 9 days (only 2 of which were spent in pre-visualization phase).

The first step was to gut the car, while digital sculptors began 3D modeling the platypus bill, antlers, rabbit ears and tail – which were fabricated with CNC carving. Meanwhile, our lighting designer integrated LED lighting, fog lights, headlights, and undercarriage lightshow effects.

Next, CNC foam sculpting (with an in-house KUKA robot) shaped each of the various animal parts. Once the CNC robotics stage was complete, they were painted, finished, and assembled onto the frame. Finally, the car was upholstered and ready for commercial debut!
